Shanna Chynoweth is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work LLC, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), and holds professional membership with both the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and the CAPPDT (Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers).
As a leader in the scent work community, Shanna was the first to teach scent detection classes in the province of Alberta in 2011 and her classes continue to be in high demand in Calgary. Continuing to keep current on all of the different scent training methodologies and incorporating them into class settings ensure her students and dogs are successful.
Shanna is an SDDA All Levels level Judge, CKC Scent Detection Trial judge, UKC Nosework Judge, C-WAGS Scent Detection judge, and K9 ABC Games judge. Additionally, she was past Vice-President of Sniff Alberta (UKC nosework club), and is involved with Sporting Detection Dogs Association (SDDA) as a competitor and trial host.

Her GSD Koda was the first dog in Alberta to get her UKC Novice Nosework title while her NSDTR Nicholas earned his SDDA Master Championship and Elite title on the same day. Her students have earned numerous titles and championships in SDDA (Starter level to Elite), UKC (Novice to Masters), C-WAGS and SDS.
